What we collect
We use your account name and verified email, a password hash, session and security records, your agreement to the account terms, and the profile information and memories you choose to save. A family invitation contains the recipient’s email and a chosen permission. Optional homepage preferences are separate from your private profile.
Why we use it
We use this information to run your account, save and display your memories, send verification, recovery and invitation emails, apply your sharing choices, and protect the service. We do not sell your recordings, run personalised advertising, or use family content to train AI in this beta.
Your family circle
New memories are private. A family relationship does not grant access. Only a profile owner can invite viewers or contributors and choose which memories to share. Revocation blocks subsequent requests; it cannot retrieve content a recipient has already viewed or saved.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the application and enabled private media storage; PostgreSQL hosted by Supabase stores account and application records; Upstash provides sessions and rate limits; our configured SMTP provider delivers account emails. Providers may process information outside your country. We do not send private profile content to advertising analytics by default.
Access and control
You can edit your profile, download your profile and written memories, download enabled media originals, and change homepage preferences. Contact us about account deletion, privacy requests or a concern about family access. We verify identity before changing another person’s access or deleting account information.
Retention and preservation
This is a beta service. Independent media backups are not yet verified, and uploaded recordings are not described as safely preserved. Keep your own originals. Permanent archival funding and deceased-subscriber stewardship are not yet offered; no perpetual-storage promise is made. A future paid subscription’s cancellation alone will not authorise deletion of family memories without clear agreed terms.
Children and advertising
Accounts in this beta are for adults aged 18 or older. Homepage questions do not provide advertising consent. Age answers are not saved by the current visitor modal, and underage visitors are not profiled for advertising. Private account and family content is separate from homepage personalisation.
